SOUTH CANYON FIRE

The western Colorado communities and all those who train in federal fire service remember the dedication of the Storm King 14.

On July 6, 1994, 14 wildland firefighters gave their lives on Storm King Mountain during the South Canyon Fire. We will never forget their bravery, dedication, and the sacrifice they made for the people of Glenwood Springs. The Storm King 14 will forever live in our hearts.
