The Storm King 14 and professional firefighter survivors who fought the fire alongside them and assisted in fire operations in the South Canyon Fire are in our community's thoughts, and we are very grateful for their sacrifices. As fire has frequently affected our communities near Storm King Mountain, the fire community as a whole, and nationwide communities, many people have expressed wishes to share their deepest warmth and gratitude to the families and friends of these heroes.

Please share your tributes on facebook, and tag @SCanyonFire. Families and friends of the StormKing14, as well as their home communities will be watching. You may also express tributes through this website's contact page.

If you are near Glenwood Springs or New Castle, Colorado, on July 6, 2019, at around 11 am, watch Storm King Mountain, and you may be able to view 14 streamers dropping from an aircraft as a tribute to the Storm King 14 and the surviving firefighters. The streamers are the ones that hotshots use in fire operations, and these will signify how our communities will never forget the Storm King 14 and the survivors!
