STORM KING MOUNTAIN MEMORIAL TRAIL

MEMORIAL TRAIL

Note: On July 6, between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m., access to the Storm King Memorial Trail will be limited, and the trailhead parking area will be closed.

The Storm King Mountain Memorial Trail was built as a tribute to the Storm King 14 and firefighters everywhere. It is a steep, one-mile hike to an overlook, then another steep half mile to the memorial site. Interpretive signs along the way help explain theSouth Canyon Fire and wildland firefighting.

If you plan to hike this trail, bring water and be prepared for a variety of weather conditions. Summer days are particularly hot, so get an early start.
